I love the city

I've been enjoying DC a lot, when I first moved here I really thought I was going to hate the city (being the island boy I am), I always hated big cities, the noise, the people, etc. but it is different this time (maybe, I am different this time), I find myself enjoying seeing the city life unfold before my eyes, and as picture subjects, it beats the hell out of Boca Raton, FL.

I've been cleaning the hard drives, and I'm gonna do one last push for all the pics I haven't publish before, then I'll start from zero with some new photo projects, hopefully this will be done by next week.

In other news, I've been using 500 Pixels's website to publish some of my pics, and I might make the change to it soon, I added a badge to the top of my blog, check it out and let me know what you think.

Back to old tricks

Yeah, I know I mentioned that I was tired of the whole "Voyeur" thing, but I still have a ton of pictures in the drives that I hadn't process, so for a while I will continue to pop out a couple of these pictures here and there.

Well, I'm sitting here drinking my morning coffee, smoking a cigarette, reading both photography (Scott Kelby's new book on retouching) and Martial Arts (Sam Sheridan's The Fighter's Mind) books, editing pics and sucking at each individual task (the coffee is cold, I probably got only a couple of puffs on the cigarette, Kelby's book is telling me to punch the camera, Sheridan's is telling me to bring a tablet to my next fight.... it is kinda confusing). But having a blast on my day off, so I guess is kinda worth it.

In other news, I'm really excited (and I'm shitting my pants) about the start of my Judo classes, can't wait to start and to share what I know (also looking forward to getting back into competition shape.... in shape I am not right now).

So, starting on the 5th of July I'll be teaching Judo again, "Po" is back baby!!!!

First experience with venue photography

Overall, pretty fun, I wish I had had a faster lens, I was shooting at 1600 (ISO) all thru the event and the variable aperture lens I was using wasn't helping me.

Other than that, I had a ton of fun HERE are the rest of the pictures.

Another Day in Paradise

That above, is one of the reasons I love living in Ashburn (VA).

Anyway, in the future this blog might become a little more wide as far as content, I might start teaching Judo again, so aside from the grappling pictures, I might start adding grappling related content I come across in this new journey.
