New Pro and Amateur photographers I'm looking at

So as usual, there are a lot of Pros and Amateur photographers out there, recently I've been looking at the work of a couple of Venezuelan photographers I know personally, there are Iaranavi Raynaud Navarro (also, he has a really nice photo set HERE) from Cumana, Venezuela (Pro), and Gabriella Moreno Cudemus from Valencia, Venezuela.

Now, a little disclaimer, Gabriella is my cousin (one of my favorites at that), and Iaranavi is like my lil' brother, I fully admit that I am totally bias and see them both as the best photographers in Venezuela, so I linked to their work and I'll let you be the judge. In the meantime, just keep an eye out for them as I'm sure that there's a lot of great work coming from this kids in the future.

To preset or not to preset: That is the question

During the week I processed over 300 images, it took me about 10 hours total (I know, but I'm not a full time photographer, HERE is the link for my photostream). I gotta say, the first hundred or so, I was using individuals adjustments, meaning I was treating each image individually without presets and creating some new presets along the way.... Big freaking mistake, other than the new presets I created that way, I wasted a lot of time, I think presets are a good idea as long as you use them as a starting point to create, not a end solution or magic bullet 100% of the time.

What are your thoughts?

P.S. Also, here are two cool websites where you can get some pretty nice presets for Adobe Lightroom:

http://lightroomkillertips.com/ Matt Kloskowski's website for everything Lightroom, all his presets are free, and the tips and tutorials are great.

http://www.ononesoftware.com/free/ OnOne Software produces some of the best Plug-ins for Photoshop and Lightroom, but also they provide some free presets and Plug-ins for this two pieces of software

And just in case, Mr. Kloskowski has a new video tutorial to learn how to install the presets HERE.

Enjoy,
